There is simply something about the written word, and after all, my entire platform is named and based on Jewish books.
Writing about Seforim and Jewish books in a longer form (than Twitter/X) has long been a desired goal of mine, and now I am finally taking the plunge and beginning to write.
Therefore, while SeforimChatter will primarily remain an audio program, I would like to incorporate a written element as well. These will mostly be short posts that accompany specific podcast episodes, in which I can take listeners behind the scenes with my preparation for the episode, my impressions of the topic, and my thoughts of the guest/book.
I would also like to write some longer essays about the podcast and Jewish history, as well as to post guest essays which include book reviews, essays about Jewish history, and more. If you are interested in writing here please email nachi@seforimchatter.com
Another reason for the new substack is to give listeners the opportunity to support SeforimChatter. There will be a paid substack option where those who simply want to support my work (Twitter and podcast) can do so, and I intend to try to offer bi-weekly or monthly paid only posts about new Seforim and Jewish history books (similar to SeforimChatter Twitter, albeit in a longer form). These posts will be behind a paywall and will be an opportunity for those who want to support SeforimChatter, yet they will receive something in return for that monetary support.
All feedback is appreciated, whether in the comments here, WhatsApp chat, or email.
As the next chapter of SeforimChatter begins, I hope that these too will beāezras Hashem be as successful as the Twitter account and Podcast, and I thank all of you for your continued support.
Your audio conversations are much appreciated. And Rav Moshe Maimon is a gift to the world.
